Last year I had the pleasure of filming Melese & Chris’s wedding at Thornbury Castle in Bath. It was a two day event with archery, clay pigeon shooting, jousting and a medieval meal on the Friday, followed by the most fabulous wedding ceremony on the following day (they even had a bird of prey fly up the aisle to deliver the ring!) So when they contacted me this year to ask if I could accompany them to Nerja for a wedding blessing I jumped at the chance.
It wasn’t quite the unbroken sunshine I was expecting, in fact it rained from the moment we stepped off the plane to the moment we left. But nobody was going to let that dampen their spirits! Mel’s dad built a makeshift marquee for the event, whilst Mel got all dressed and ready in the garden shed. The blessing itself was lovely, and nobody stopped smiling for the whole two days we were there. I personally had a really great time and it’s a memory that will stay with me for a long time.
