This wedding was a lot of fun and a real mix of cultures. Slava is from Russia, and Christina from England. The ceremony was held at All Soul’s Langham Place in London, then it was a short walk across the road for the reception at the beautiful Langham Hotel.
“gor’ko, gor’ko…” this is the traditional call in Russia where the newlyweds must stand and kiss for as long as possible. Given the number of times this was called out throughout the day I imagine they must have been exhausted!
Christina is also a classical singer and surprised everyone when she sang for Slava after the main speeches, it was a song that had special meaning to them both and was truly beautiful.
