This wedding was another wonderful mix of cultures, with Grace the very definition of an English rose and Takis from Greece. It made for a beautiful ceremony – the first part performed by the family vicar followed on by a Greek Orthodox service conducted by priests who had come over especially. It was the most beautiful light in the church that day, shafts of light illuminating the couple as they stood at the alter.
It was a short walk for the newleyweds back to the reception which was held at Island Hall, Grace’s childhood home. There was an ice cream cart, stalls of sweets, a string quartet and exquisite marquee featuring an avenue of fir trees. The couple departed under a hail of confetti on a boat down the river before returning for a truly memorable evening reception.
